Darjeeling originally just a cluster of village that was administered intermittently by Nepal and Sikkim, Darjeeling grew in prominence when the British discovered the suitable of the area for growing tea. The town was subsequently annexed by the British Indian Empire and a small railway was constructed lining the town the lowland. DAY 02: KOLKATA
Morning after breakfast sightseeing tour of Kolkata visit Victoria Museum, Indian Museum, Tagore House, Howarah
Bride, Botanical Garden. Evening enjoy Welcome dinner. Overnight in Hotel.

DAY 03: KOLKATA– BAGDOGRA (9W 617 1210/1310 HRS) BAGDOGRA- KALIMPONG 83 KMS/03 HRS.

DAY 04: KALIMPONG – GANGTOK 80 KMS/3 HRS.
Morning after breakfast visit Kalimpong in the morning - a remote hill station on the trade route to
Tibet, Bhutan and Nepal. Visit two well-known 17th-century monasteries. Afternoon drive to mountainside capital of the tiny state of Sikkim Gangtok. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Rest of time free at leisure. Overnight in Hotel.

DAY 05: GANGTOK
Morning after breakfast visit The Research Institute of Tibetology which houses nearly 30,000 volumes on
astrology, magic, philosophy. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Hotel.

DAY 06: GANGTOK – PELLING 127 KMS/5.5 HRS
Morning after breakfast drive to Pelling. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Rest of time free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 07: PELLING – DARJEELING 75 KMS/4 HRS

DAY 08: DARJEELING
Morning after breakfast excursion to Tiger Hill followed by a Toy Train ride from Darjeeling station to Ghoom Monastery. Afternoon the Himalayan Institute of Mountaineering founded by the late Tenzing Norgay.

DAY 09: DARJEELING
